| Assistant Scoutmaster Dino Forzano and Troop Committee Member Mary Ellen Willen completed their Wood Badge Tickets and received their Wood Badges at a ceremony during our Wintoree. They were given their new neckerchiefs which since 1924 are for Wood Badgers only. The neckerchief is held with a woggle, which was invented at Gillwell Field, site of the first Wood Badge course, to hold the special Wood Badge neckerchief. The candidates then received their beads, which are reproductions of the beads that Lord Baden-Powell gave the first adult trainees, the Wood Badge. The ceremony ended with the singing of the "Wood Badge Song" and the serving of a delicious cake. |
