| We all met at Orchard Beach at 9:30 am, and split into groups. To make it interesting, we had a competition to see who collected the most garbage. We had a lot of garbage bags to fill. There was so much garbage on the shore, and very many dead horseshoe crabs. As we got closer to the ocean and the forest, it was really muddy. People's shoes got all messed up, but Michael N. wore sandals for some odd reason. As the day wore on, everyone got tired and hungry. We took pictures, ate, and gathered all of the garbage bags at the end. The winner of the competition was Ellen Beltran's group, even though she had only two people in her group, and we had seven. -- James N., Troop Scribe. |
