| This evening -- held at the Riverdale Country School -- was fun and presented a learning experience for those Scouts who had to work on their swim requirements. There was more than 15 Scouts and Scouters present in the pool for our first Troop Swim thanks to Erik Z., whose patrol was in charge of calling everyone and reminding them about the swim. The leaders explained to everyone about the "Buddy System" at the start of the swim. Andy Stratford made it very clear at the beginning that during the swim we would be able to play various aquatic games. James N. and Michael N. brought their scuba gear to demonstrate how it is used. A number of Scouts were able to use it. Andy allowed us to use a mini-basketball, a Frisbee, a Nerf football and a dodgeball for our various games. Alex Beltran served as our Life Guard.
